Greenfield Village is a place where you can see America from the 1600s to the 1900s. You would like Greenfield Village if you want to see America’s history and past. If you want to go to the village, you can ride on a 99 year old 1913 carousel, see the shop where the first plane was made, and watch historic baseball. Henry Ford opened Greenfield Village on October 21, 1929, and that same year they put in the laboratory Thomas Edison used in Menlo Park to make the light bulb! The Henry Ford Museum is part of Greenfield Village and you can visit it year round. It is very fun during holidays too. They have super fun activities during holidays like special games and they put all types of decorations up too. Greenfield Village is closed in the winter but otherwise people visit at any other time. After fall begins, Greenfield Village is open during the weekends until Christmas.
